Research Areas 

We are working in several key research areas to boost cassava yields:

  • Shorter Stems:

         Less energy wasted in tall stems → more energy for roots.

  • Better Nutrient Transport:

        Helping the plant move sugars and nutrients efficiently to                         the roots.

​

  • Boosting Root Growth:

        Encouraging the roots to grow faster and make more starch.

​

  • Stronger Metabolism:

        Improving how roots turn sugars into stored starch and energy.

By combining these improvements, we create a “super cassava” that grows bigger, faster, and better — even in harsh conditions.
